Happy Day - the braces are off !

Today was a big day for Sarah. The braces came off after 3 years - which included an expander, full braces, headgear, and rubber bands! Don asked her if she would like to go to her favorite restaurant tonight to celebrate. She said she just wants to bite into an apple without having it cut up into pieces. I guess I can handle that, but we'll see if she changes her mind tonight.
Congratulations Sarah, you have a beautiful smile. I remember 3 years ago when you wouldn't smile :(

Enjoy your apple tonight!

Heading to the orthodontist for 9 am appointment.
The sign when we walked in the front door. They are a wonderful office! It's Dr. David McReynolds is case you need braces.

Let's get them off!
Leaving the office with balloons, t-shirt, and a cup full of goodies. Beautiful!

The Laundry Room

This is not a very exciting post, but to tell you the truth, I'm tired of seeing the post of Sam.
Whenever I pulled up my blog to check on my friends and their posts, I kept seeing the poor dog's face and needed to move on. So here are pictures from my latest project.

Last week I was checking out my friend Suzie's post and she was about to reorganize/decorate her laundry room. She just had to go and post pics from HGTV - my downfall. Don says that channel creates way too much work for him!! Anyway, I have been wanting to declutter for a while, but lacked the motivation - so thanks Suzie for inspiring me.

I love Hobby Lobby!!! I got the wall hangings there (50% off, of course). The bench was marked down by $100 because of some scratches, but I can fix that easily. So I took my Mom in with me on Saturday and the furniture was 30% off, but she got them to come down t0 40% off the already reduced price. So it was a huge savings!!! Thanks Mom! I still am looking for a rug to put in front of the washer/dryer. I'll eventually find a bargain.

The most fun room in the house! The girls have their computer in the corner too. I think I need a new laundry basket???

I had this already and am going to paint it black.

The hook (also from Hobby Lobby) for the "dog corner". Now they have a place for their leashes.
What I now see when I go out the door to the garage. Much better than a blank wall.

The BIG bargain of the day! The baskets were black and I painted them red. Sarah and Katie now each have a basket for their many shoes that just ended up all over the floor. I filled the middle one with the many hats, scarves, and gloves that were also just laying around in there.
